I have made up to ten System Images in a single day and these resore points take up space on my drives. It's for this reason that whenever I make significant progress in BF3, I stop and create a System Image. Somebody deleted and re-installed BF3 and when they went to play, the Cloud data didn't give him any of his previous progress. Using the clean-up utility to remove previous Restore Points is one reason that only my latest updates are showing but there could be other reasons that I'm not aware of right now.

I have a SSD array and I use the Windows Disk Clean-up utility every day because I have limited space and delete unecessary restore points.

When Windows tries to install an update that has already been installed, it normally say "Update failed - error ?". The updates installed before the System Image was created should have been part of that image and not need to be re-installed. I've had to use System restore several times since January when one of my SSDs failed. Sorry for the long winded novel.I appreciate your help :) Now when I look in the view updates field I see double of the updates that were published yesterday.ĭoes the view history tab keep track of ALL updates regardless of restore points? After the restore I went into the view updates history and they were already in the list as being "successful" however when I ran the "check for updates" option the 9 updates where there and required me to do the whole restart install deal. So I assume that would mean that I would lose those 9 or 10 updates and would have to re-install them again. When I got home after work I decided to run the restore. I had already downloaded and installed the 9 or 10 updates that were published on 8/14 before I did the restore. The only restore point I had was for 8/12. The ones published yesterday show up twice (each) in that list of updates. I just find it very weird that my Update History shows every single update that Win7 has downloaded. 17002, time stamp: 0x5ec1a30d Faulting module name: RTSSHooks64.dll, version: 0.0.0. 0 and previous stable Event viewer log: Faulting application name: WindowsTerminal.exe, version. I have not created a new image yet however I will. Windows build number: Microsoft Windows Version 1.330 Windows Terminal version (if applicable).
